A Good Citizen

I'm officially A Good Citizen. On Saturday I passed my Kennel Club Gold level test! Mum is very chuffed as we have waited to get this for a long time - I was ready when I was about one and a half but I had all sorts of illness and wasn't able to train for a long time. Then we moved house and it took us a while to find a new training club but in April of last year we joined the Basingstoke and District Dog Training Club and I started working for my Gold again. Next step competition obedience....gulp... Big thanks to Karen and Lynne our trainers!

Very well done Charlie! I know how hard you and your mum worked because I did mine recently. I'm very jealous of your lovely rosette, I didn't get one

Congratulations Charlie and very well done to your Mum too. She must have loads of patience and perseverance.

I didn't even get my bronze. I could do all the tasks perfectly well but on the night I decided I couldn't be bothered and just wanted to play with the other dogs. Mum was mortified and took me away before the end so I didn't spoil the other dogs' performances.
We never went back!

I'm sure I could have done it 'cos my sis got her gold before she was one! C'est la vie - maybe I should send my Mum to perseverance classes!

Again, very well done 'cos I know how hard it is to achieve.

Your half bro Bennet.

Yay congrats Sophie! Sorry you didn't get a rosette - i've never got one before for KCGC tests so I was chuffed :-) Lol Bennet - perhaps your mum needs those classes. I know what you mean about playing up on the day - I think we have to keep our mum's on their toes and not let them get complacent. I nearly didn't get mine as i decided there was some nice smelly treat on the floor next to me when I was supposed to be doing a 'stay'. Ooops, fortunately I managed to do it in the end!

Congratulations on your accomplishment. It's funny that I just found your blog today (though "Click the Good News"), because our Meadow just passed her CGC last week. Nice blog, I look forward to perusing it!
