New girlfriend

Trouble is you can see the effect I seem to have on the ladies. Eszti, like Ditto, is a master at the lip curl. Anyway we had a nice lunch on Sunday in a pub together (well, come to think of it the humans forgot to order us any food, some lunch!) and we did the lazy play thing where you lie on the floor and open mouths at each other. I think she's pretty cool anyway, even if she does give me funny looks :-)

There's been a lot of rain around lately, which means a LOT of mud. Mum has developed this annoying habit of rinsing me off after practically EVERY walk!! And all because she didn't one day and missed a stoopid cut i had on my leg. Ho hum, at least she's not using smelly shampoo. It's not very dignified though, although perhaps more showers would be a good thing as far as Eszti is concerned? Stop the funny looks? I wonder...

Well. WE did not curl our lip at you - we most certainly did not - in fact we think we remember that despite our best flirty behaviour you seemed not to - oh dear - sob -"fancy" us. Despite our best efforts. Oh well.

Mud, mud, glorious mud - I love it!
My mum complains that I arrive home covered in it from tip to toe whilst my cousin just has muddy paws. That's because he tip toes through the messy bits or avoids them altogether. Hey, that's no fun at all - I like to charge right through the worst bits at top speed! My mum has taken to rinsing me after every walk too - drat.

Anyway half bro, I was one year old on Monday and bet I'm as big as you now but doubt I am as well behaved. Mum says I'm her hooligan - well I do my best!

Oh Redgirls don't feel bad. In fact I am always the _perfect_gentleman_ whilst on a walk. It is only when I get settled somewhere indoors that I revert to being a true flirty pest!

Hey Bennet - I am turning into a proper hooligan again now. Mum hasn't been doing so much training so i'm pretending i've forgotten everything. Happy birthday for Monday!

Dearest Charlie - we hate to be picky but there IS something we need to discuss. You said that it's only *indoors* that you show your ahemm "true colours" Charlie do you remember our Keswick date in the pub? We were all under the table - together! And our mums and dads were gassing away. And pretty oblivious. And what did you do? You fell ASLEEP!!!!! (we did not! far from it!) Charlie did you have a manly *headache* moment? Redgirls are wondering if we are losing our ahemmmm pulling power! oh dear ....

Charlie, girls are soooo complicated. What's a boy to do? Hamish tried his hardest with the Redgirls but he'd heard so much about them and waited so long to meet them and they really are so very, very pretty that he was way over excited and blew his chances by coming on too strong.

I think you're so cool for falling asleep. So don't worry about all that lip curling, it's not you it's them. They often don't know a good thing when they see it.

oh we DO know a good thing when we see it. We really do. And still. Charlie fell ASLEEP!!! One day we will meet Hamish again when Mz Bert's ahemmm hormone levels are a bit less ambiguous (so at LEAST a month after her season has finished - to be safe) And it will be wonderful. And platonic. Promise! We love our red pals XXXXX

Hah! Hamish I think you've got a point. A man just can't win!

Seriously though Redgirls...although I did appear to fall asleep (next to the radiator, after dad had FORCED me to go swimming in the FREEZING lake!) it was not until I'd begun to rev up the old, ahem, hormones.

What you didn't spot was mum giving me a big telling off and making me lie down. So it wasn't for lack of want or trying, honest!

hrmmm - well yes we were EXTREMELY impressed at your very manly jumping into the lake (your dad is one of our fave people but not in a million years would we have put even the merest TOE into that freezing water)And yes. Perhaps in the pub we were too busy chatting up the nice sandwich lady to notice any ahemm advances that you may have made. Oh goodie. We feel LOADS better now. XXX

oh and ps is anybody else watching channel 4 - boys and girls alone???
blimey - - scary. Yes boys are totally less complicated. But Lord of the Flies revisited?? (our mum in serious mode)

hrm yes my mum said the same about lord of the flies when she heard about that programme but we didn't realise it was on last night!
