Home

Well I'm home but feeling very groggy and sorry for myself. So would you if you'd had your insides opened up and someone poke about in there! Stupid ball wasn't even that tasty. I'm on all sorts of 'drugs' which make me feel quite spaced out and sleepy. I didn't recognise mum at first when she came to pick me up but after a little while I did manage to thump my tail a few times. My tail still works even if the rest of me is a bit under the weather.

I haven't even got the strength to have a wee - I end up resting on my thighs cos my legs won't hold me. It's a very undignified thing for a young man, but does guarantee much sympathy. I've slept upstairs twice in a row now. I've lost count of how many times i've been to see the vet but hopefully I might not need to go again assuming I get a bit brighter over the next few days. Thanks for all the well-wishes - it's nice to know I've got friends out there thinking of me.

Hello Charlie,

I slept all day after i came home from the vets but I was back to normal the next day.
At least i would have been if I had been allowed off the lead.

Diesel.

oh my goodness. Poor Charlie and your poor mum and dad all having such a worrying time. Our dear nana Cleo lived till she was 15 years old but was always hopelessly accident prone and at about your age ate a ball - one of those very elasticy bouncy ones. It completely blocked her bowel but didn't show up on the x-ray. Mum had to INSIST that the vet get out of bed to operate in the middle of the night and it was only just in time because the bowel had started to necrotise. Anyway after that Cleo got better very quickly. Until the next accident (ate a lb of butter - pancreatitis) And the next accident(ate a poisoned pheasant)And many more adventures followed. Cleo wasn't insured and cost mum about £7000 in vet bills. Cleo liked to boast about that. It made her feel important.
Charlie we really are thinking about you a LOT and sending you mumsy redgirl hugs (oh and by the way we trust that you know to refuse to cooperate with any attempt by the humans to withdraw bedroom privileges!)

hugs and pats and gentle belly rubs.XXX

Oooh your Cleo sounds like a proper Vizsla tearaway! It is good to keep our humans on their toes, trouble is mum is more like on her knees over me with this :-(
